You're not looking for limits. Just as well, because you won't find any here.

West Sussex is rich in heritage, culture, places of natural beauty and tourist attractions. The county boasts stately homes and castles, the South Downs, racecourses, art galleries, theatres, music and arts festivals, glorious gardens, natural harbours, the coast and world-renowned motor sport events.

Over half the county is protected countryside offering some of the finest walking and cycling country in Britain, while designer shops, stylish restaurants, organic cafes, idyllic country pubs and trendy bars can all be found in here.

West Sussex also encompasses the cosmopolitan and urban areas of Horsham, Gatwick and neighbouring Crawley - one of the fastest growing economies in the country - plus the rapidly developing coastal towns of Worthing and Littlehampton. Most development, in fact, is on the coast and along the M23 corridor in the east of the county, leaving the centre almost wholly rural.

West Sussex is easily accessible from both Brighton and Portsmouth, and transport links to London, the rest of the UK and to Europe are strong, with good rail links, a major international airport and two seaports.

In total, we are home to more than 750,000 people. The diverse challenges they face, you'll face too. So to give them - and you - the best care possible, we've reorganised our social work structure to make it easier for you to do your job. No ifs, no buts.
