Vision for Kent

The Vision for Kent is a long-term plan all about improving the economic, environmental and social well-being of the county of Kent over the next 20 years. It is Kent’s community strategy and an umbrella under which the programmes of all public agencies in Kent are gathered, creating the framework for them to work together. KCC’s own targets are reflected within it, as are those of other agencies including the Health Authority, Kent Fire & Rescue Authority, Kent Police, the Learning and Skills Council and the Environment Agency.

The Vision for Kent has nine themes

  1. Economic success that is shared by all.

  2. Learning for everyone.

  3. Healthy lifestyles.

  4. Modern social and health care services.

  5. A better environment.

  6. Communities that feel safe and are safe.

  7. Kent communities.

  8. Keeping Kent moving.

  9. Enjoying life in Kent.
