Managing Director - Children, Families and Education

I am delighted that you are interested in applying for this exciting and senior post to lead the Children, Families and Education Directorate. The opportunity presented by this role to make a difference to the lives of children and families in Kent is immense. As Director of Children Services you will be professionally accountable for the delivery of the Authority’s education and social services functions for children, as well as some delegated health functions. The current level of media interest and scrutiny about children’s social care and the effectiveness of children’s trusts acts as a reminder of the scope and profile of these roles and as a large and excellent Authority, the role in Kent is seen as a leading one in the field.

We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in developing and delivering high quality services. You will need the passion, vision and strategic leadership skills that are necessary to build on the successes of this directorate.
