The opportunity to improve access for people with mental health problems into a range of activities within the community. We are particularly interested in applicants who have had experience with mental health issues themselves.

The role
Building partnerships with a broad spectrum of agencies and organisations, you’ll promote understanding of people with mental health problems, access resources and negotiate opportunities for them to participate in community life. You’ll also carry out detailed research and networking across the statutory, voluntary and commercial sectors, compiling a database of suitable opportunities and helping service users make informed choices.

Key requirements
As well as a good understanding of people with mental health problems, particularly relating to community inclusion, you must bring the communication skills to forge strong relationships with users and other organisations. Capable of managing a busy workload, you’ll add a flexible approach to an enthusiasm to develop the role.
