Meeting the needs of children within a diverse and multicultural community as part of an enabling authority.
The role
You will provide a social work service to children and families within Southwark, a very diverse community, placing a particular emphasis on our more vulnerable clients and those with complex problems. The ability to undertake direct work with children is particularly important to this role. You will have knowledge of relevant legislation and Child Protection Procedures.
Your role will involve ensuring the implementation and co-ordination of plans for children and you will have some experience of managing risk and be able to make recommendations regarding Children's safety.
The requirement
A qualified social worker with GSCC registration, you will bring experience of direct work with children and families, including child protection and childcare planning for children in need. Skilled in managing risk and making recommendations regarding children’s safety, and will bring sound analytical, IT, and report writing skills.
An enhanced CRB check will be required.
